Sheet

Tables you can view as a grid, a Kanban board, a calendar or a chart, with formulas in French as well as in English.

Sheet installs on your device (Windows and Linux) and opens with your Etrebil account, the same one as for the web applications.

Sheet organizes your data into workbooks and tables, where each column has its own type: text, number, amount, date, choice list, rating, link to another table, attachment, formula...

The same table can be viewed in several ways — grid, Kanban, calendar, gallery, form, chart, pivot table — each with its own filters, sorting and conditional formatting.

Formulas are written in French as well as in English (SI or IF, RECHERCHEV or VLOOKUP...). Queries combine, filter and group data coming from other tables or from CSV, Excel and JSON files. Tables can be imported and exported as CSV and Excel.

Workbooks and tables

Workbooks grouping several tables, with a home list for creating, opening or deleting a workbook.
Tables created, deleted or duplicated in one click, listed in the side panel.
Each table can be viewed through several views that you add, name and change at will.
Rows added one by one or in batches of 10, 50 or 100, multiple selection and deletion of the selection.
Direct entry in the grid, with a formula bar for applying a formula to the cell.
Light or dark theme, collapsible side panel.
Keyboard shortcuts: new workbook, new table, back to home, script editor.

Column types

Twenty column types: text, rich text, number, amount, percentage, duration, date, date and time, checkbox.
Single- or multiple-choice lists, with labels and colors.
Email, web link, phone, barcode, star rating, automatic number, attachment.
Formula, which calculates the value from the other columns.
Link to another table, which displays the column of your choice from the linked table.
Column settings: description, default value, width, header color, primary field.
Constraints: required field, unique value, read-only.
Formats: number of decimals, currency symbol, date format, rating scale.
Quick cell format: integer, decimals, percentage, currency, accounting, scientific notation.

Views

Grid for entering and correcting data as in a spreadsheet.
Kanban: one column per choice in a list, with cards that can be moved from one column to another.
Monthly calendar placed on a date column, with an optional end date.
Gallery of cards with a title column.
Form for adding a record with a check on required fields and a Reset button.
Bar, pie, line or area chart, based on a label column and a value column.

Formulas

Formulas written in French as well as in English: SI or IF, RECHERCHEV or VLOOKUP, SOMME.SI.ENS or SUMIFS, JOINDRE.TEXTE or TEXTJOIN, etc.
Calculation and statistics functions: sum, average, minimum, maximum, counts, rounding, power, square root.
Text functions: left, right, length, uppercase, lowercase, trimming of spaces, concatenation.
Date functions: today, now, year, month, day.
Logical and lookup functions: SI.CONDITIONS, SWITCH, RECHERCHEX, EQUIV.X.
Array functions: FILTRE, TRIER, UNIQUE, as well as LET and LAMBDA.

Pivot tables

Pivot table with fields in rows, in columns, in values and in filters.
Summary functions: sum, count, average, minimum, maximum, distinct values.
Row and column totals, as you choose.
Pivot chart in bars, stacked bars, pie or lines, linked to a pivot table.

Queries

Query editor in ordered steps, which you move up, move down, edit and delete.
Sources: a table of the workbook, a CSV, Excel or JSON file, or a SQLite database.
Steps: filter rows, sort, group and aggregate, choose or remove columns, rename, change type, calculated column.
Merging of two sources by join (inner, left, right, full) and stacking of sources.
Preview of the result, saving of queries in the workbook, loading of the result into a table.

Scripts

C# script editor (Alt+F11): create, save, validate, run, delete.
Scripts read and write the cells of the active table, with display of messages and input of values.
Safeguards: access to files, network and system is forbidden in a script, time limited to 30 seconds.
Security warning when opening a workbook that contains connections to external sources: you allow them all, or you refuse them.

Import and export

Import of a CSV or Excel file (XLSX, XLSM) into a new table.
Export of a table as CSV or Excel.
Opening of an Excel workbook with macros: the VBA code is taken over and converted to C#, with warnings about what could not be converted.

On your devices

Windows: desktop application with the Etrebil account (Mon espace menu, sign-out, release of the computer).
Linux: same engine and same views as on Windows (grid, Kanban, calendar, gallery, form, charts, pivot tables, queries, scripts).
Data stored locally in a database on your computer.

Good to know

No web version: Sheet exists only as a desktop application, on Windows and Linux.
Per-view filters, sorting and conditional formatting are provided for in the data model, but their settings screens are not yet delivered.
Scripts are in C#: the VBA of an Excel workbook is converted automatically, with no guarantee that everything works.
