Money

Your accounts, your budget, your bills to pay and your savings goals, tracked on your computer.

AvailableCreate an account

Money installs on your device (Windows and Linux) and opens with your Prophetix account, the same one as for the web applications.

Money brings together your bank accounts and their transactions. Import your statements as CSV, Excel, OFX or QIF: the rules you define sort the transactions into your categories.

The budget compares planned and actual, category by category. Bills to pay, savings goals and debt repayments each have their own tracking, and an alert warns you of a late payment, a low balance or an exceeded budget.

  • Linux version: categorization rules and reconciliation, but neither dark mode nor the advanced import wizard; the transactions entered there are saved.
  • Prophetix account built in: My space, sign-out and release of the workstation.
  • Data stored locally on your computer. No web or mobile version for now.

Planned (not available yet)

  • Automatic retrieval of accounts and transactions from the bank (PSD2): the connection records exist, the link is not yet made.
  • Automatic update of exchange rates and investment prices.
  • Automatic categorization by saved rules, and bulk categorization.
  • Export of transactions as PDF.
  • Synchronization between computers with conflict resolution: the mechanism exists in the application, but no server is provided.

Good to know

  • On Windows, manual entry, editing and deletion of transactions, as well as editing an account, are not yet saved to the database; import, however, does save.
  • The categorization rules are three built-in examples (groceries, fuel, restaurant); your own rules are not kept.
  • Exchange rates are starting values for you to correct yourself.
  • The figures are personal tracking tools, not financial advice.
  • Linux version not verified on a real computer.
