Cellar is in preparation. It will join the Prophetix subscription catalogue when it is released.
Every feature of Cellar
42 features in 9 areas
Bottle inventory
- Records each bottle: name, estate, grape variety, color (red, white, rosé, sparkling, sweet), vintage, appellation, quantity.
- Notes the purchase price, the date and place of purchase, the person who gave it to you and your personal notes.
- Filters and searches the list by text, color, vintage or rack.
- Calculates the value of each line from the purchase price and the quantity in stock.
- Opens a sheet for each bottle with its details, location, stock, movements and tastings, where guests can also be noted.
Racks and locations
- Creates racks with their number of rows and columns and their location.
- Places each bottle in a rack, at the exact position you specify.
- Edits or deletes a rack when your storage arrangement changes.
Cellaring and when to drink
- Indicates for each wine its minimum and maximum cellaring time and its peak, and derives the corresponding years from the vintage.
- Lists the bottles ready to drink separately.
- Records a tasting from this list: quantity consumed, score from 0 to 20, occasion, food pairing and comment.
- Warns through alerts when a wine nears the end of its cellaring window, when it reaches maturity or when stock runs low.
- Configures each type of alert: activation, threshold in days before the end of the cellaring window, quantity threshold.
- Marks alerts as read, one by one or all together.
Cellar inflows and outflows
- Logs each stock movement: purchase, consumption, donation, loss, gift or inventory.
- Updates the quantity in the cellar with each movement.
- Consults the history of purchases and movements, filtered by type, with the monthly breakdown.
- Keeps the tasting history with the scores, occasions and pairings.
Food and wine pairings
- Looks for the wine that suits a dish you enter; the answer can cover your cellar only, prestige wines or both.
- Offers a quick pairing guide by dish family: red meats, fish and seafood, cheeses...
- Suggests wines from your cellar for each type of dish.
- Records your own custom pairings.
Discovering new wines
- Recognizes a label from a photo and pre-fills name, estate, vintage, grape variety, appellation and region to create the bottle in one click.
- Keeps a wish list with priority, target price and status: searching, found, bought or abandoned.
- Builds your taste profile from your scored tastings: grape varieties, regions, preferred color, average price, average score.
- Recommends prestige wines suited to this profile, with a match score and an explanation.
- Browses a selection of prestige wines, ranked in a top 50, 100, 500 or 1000, filterable by country, region, color and appellation.
- Searches your cellar and the wine database at once, and links a bottle to a wine in the database.
- Consults appellations and regions with their typical cellaring time, and adds your own.
- Offers themed tasting adventures, for example Bordeaux, Burgundy or grapes of the world: a step is completed by a tasting, and badges reward progress.
Cellar overview
- Summarizes the cellar on the home page: number of bottles, valuation, racks, bottles to drink, consumption of the month and of the year, latest activity.
- Details the statistics by color, by region and by vintage.
- Traces the story of your cellar in a timeline: purchases, tastings, additions to the wish list and discoveries.
Data and account
- Exports your bottles and your tastings as CSV.
- Imports regions and appellations by country to get the cellar started.
- Signs in with the Prophetix account: each account has its own cellar, which no other account can see.
- Gives read-only access when the subscription plan does not cover Cellar.
Good to know
- Cellar exists only in the browser; there is no desktop or mobile version for now.
- Label recognition and the explanation of recommendations require an analysis service configured on the server; without it, the scan returns a sample result.
- The extended wine database is only filled if an external service is configured on the server.
- The alerts cover the end of the cellaring window, maturity and low stock; price and anniversary alerts are not active.
- The synchronization page is a mock-up: it sends nothing anywhere.
