Projets
Projects
Your projects planned on a Gantt chart, with their resources, costs and purchases.
Projets installs on your device (Windows and Linux) and opens with your Etrebil account, the same one as for the web applications.
Project breaks each project down into tasks and subtasks and places them on a Gantt chart, milestones included. The same schedule can be read as a table or as bars.
Resources - people, hardware, equipment, software - have their hourly rate and availability. Costs are broken down by type, purchases are tracked from request to receipt, and a progress report reviews the risks, the issues and the next steps.

Projects
- Creates a project with its name, description, start and end dates, budget and project manager.
- Tracks the status of each project: planning, in progress, on hold, completed, cancelled or under review.
- Attaches a project to a parent project to organize subprojects.
- Shows each project on a card with its dates and budget, and opens its record with one click.
- Finds a project by typing part of its name, its description or the project manager's name.
- Edits or deletes a project after confirmation.
Schedule and Gantt chart
- Chooses the project to plan and shows its schedule as a table, as a Gantt chart or both side by side.
- Adds a task at the end of the list, or inserts it just before the selected task.
- Edits directly in the table the task name, start date, end date, duration in days and progress as a percentage.
- Breaks the work down into tasks and subtasks on as many levels as needed, with hierarchical numbering (1, 1.1, 1.2).
- Moves a task up or down one level with the Promote and Demote buttons, or with the Shift+Tab and Tab keys.
- Moves a task up or down within its list.
- Marks a task as a milestone: it becomes a diamond with no duration on the chart.
- Draws each task as a bar on a monthly date scale, with its share of progress in green.
- Shows the details of a task (number, dates, progress) when hovering over its bar.
- Highlights the selected task, and scrolls the table and the chart together.
- Deletes a task after confirmation, then saves all changes with one click.
- Refuses to make a task a subtask of itself, to avoid circular references.
Resources
- Keeps the list of resources: people, hardware, equipment and software.
- Records for each one its description, hourly rate, email and phone number.
- Indicates whether a resource is available or not.
- Finds a resource by its name, type, description or email.
- Edits or deletes a resource after confirmation.
Costs
- Records the costs of a project with their description, amount, date and a reference.
- Classifies each cost by type: labor, materials, equipment, software, travel or other.
- Shows the costs of a project, from the most recent to the oldest, or those of all projects at once.
- Calculates the total of the costs displayed.
- Deletes a cost entered by mistake, after confirmation.
Purchases
- Tracks each purchase with its project, description, supplier and amount.
- Moves the purchase from request to receipt: requested, approved, ordered, received or cancelled.
- Keeps the request, required, order and receipt dates, and the order reference.
- Filters the list of purchases by status.
- Edits or deletes a purchase after confirmation.
Progress reports
- Writes a dated status report for a project: summary, risks, issues and next steps.
- Indicates the overall progress of the project as a percentage.
- Reviews the reports of a project, from the most recent to the oldest, or those of all projects.
Dashboard
- Counts the active projects and the registered resources.
- Totals the costs entered during the current month.
- Counts the purchases still pending, requested or approved.
- Lists the ongoing projects.
On your devices
- Runs on Windows, with a single window and a side menu that opens each screen.
- Also runs on Linux, with the same screens, the same Gantt chart and the same database.
- Keeps the data on the computer, in a local SQLite database: no server is needed to work.
- Keeps a daily operating log for 30 days.
- Signs in with your Etrebil account, which carries the license, and accepts limited offline work for a period of time.
- Reports on Windows that a new version is available.
Good to know
- Tasks are created in the "not started" status: the status and priority of a task cannot yet be changed in the screens.
- Links between tasks and the assignment of resources to tasks and projects are not yet offered in the screens.
- The actual cost of a project is not yet accumulated automatically: the total is read in the Costs screen.
- The list of upcoming deadlines on the dashboard is not fed by the milestones of the schedule.
- On Windows, the statuses of projects, tasks and purchases are still displayed under their English names.
- There is no export of the schedule or of the reports.
Planned (not available yet)
- Two-way synchronization with an online service: the Synchronization screen is announced as "under development".
- Automatic background synchronization and offline mode with deferred sending.
- Management of synchronization conflicts and synchronization history.
